Prof Hui Gan is a medical oncologist at Austin Health where he specialises in primary brain tumours and Phase 1 clinical trials. He is the Medical Director of the Cancer Clinical Trials Unit at Austin Health.

Prof Gan is Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee of Cooperative Trials Group for Neuro-Oncology (COGNO). He is also a clinician-scientist at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute (ONJCRI) where he leads a translational research group as well as being the Co-Director of the ONJCRI Centre for Research Excellence for Brain Cancer.

Prof Terrance Johns is known internationally for his research into the role and therapeutic targeting of EGFR in high grade glioma (HGG).

After moving to Head the Telethon Kids Cancer Centre in 2017, Prof Johns commenced an extensive program determining the function of ion channels in HGG and ascertaining how they contribute to targeted therapy resistance. Prof Johns is committed to translating Australian Research into the clinic.

Prof Bryan Day is the Group Leader of the Sid Faithfull Brain Cancer Laboratory at QIMR Berghofer MRI and an internationally recognised expert in brain cancer.

He is Co-Director of the Children’s Brain Cancer Centre, a national initiative to improve outcomes for children with brain cancer. The focus of his laboratory's research is to better understand the molecular mechanisms which drive the most common and aggressive forms of both adult and paediatric brain cancers.
